The Customer Service area of work at home jobs is one of the most featured opportunities to be able to make a paycheck while working out of your home. Many large corporations such as 1-800-Flowers, Uhaul and HSN are hiring remote agents that work online from their home. Basic requirements are usually a standard high speed internet connect, a decent running computer, a landline and a quiet atmosphere to work. (which you should always have if you’re serious about a work at home career)

Most work at home positions in the customer service industry pay a nominal wage. The average being between $7 – $12 an hour. This depends a great deal on the company that you’re working for plus the duties and responsibilities that are required.

For example a person taking care the entire customer support for a website might be paid higher than a person that simply answers a few customer emails.

The huge amount of opportunity that customer service provides for a person that wants to make an hourly wage working at home is tremendous. You must however, remember that you need to always strive to be the best even when working at home.
